A brief introduction
I think writing about ourselves is one of those things we all hate to do…
So, I will do my best to keep this brief, as I believe I’m a remarkably uninteresting person and quite frankly hate talking about my myself!
To boil it down simply, who am I?
I’m an entrepreneur, with a major interest in marketing, business optimisation and helping other businesses to achieve their goals.
I love helping a business overcome a problem or attain their goal. Watching their success whilst knowing I had a hand in it gives me a huge level of satisfaction!
My Digital Marketing Journey
In 2016, as part of my university placement year I secured a role as a digital marketing executive for a specialist wine and alcohol store based in Belfast.
This role sparked a huge interest in website design, Google Ads, Social Media Marketing and Email Marketing.
During my spare time outside of work I was spending hours researching the topics, taking online courses and watching hours of related Youtube content.
My role at the store was to increase awareness, footfall within the store and drive online sales... all whilst sales targets and rewards were dangled in front of me for some extra motivation.
Lets just say the rewards, drive to learn and my competitive nature won out, increasing online sales by 500% over the course of the year. All whilst not increasing the marketing budget during this period.
In late 2016 whilst on my placement year I took the leap starting my first business venture Booze Bandit Cocktails a mobile bartending business with my friend DJ.
Employing everything I had learnt about digital marketing, I quickly filled our diary for months in advance via social media and Google Ads. The business flourished over the next 6 years providing bartending services at over 600 parties/events across the North.
After completing my placement year and entering final year I approached local businesses offering them marketing services. I wanted to continue learning through doing and believed I could really help local businesses make more money.
This led me to build up a very loyal small client base by the time of my graduation in July 2018.

This led me to build up a very loyal small client base by the time of my graduation in July 2018.
During final year of university myself, DJ and our friend Ruairi founded Notorious Pizza, a mobile woodfired pizza catering business. This business ran beautifully in tandem with Booze Bandit serving food and drink at numerous events. Notorious Pizza has since evolved in 2022 to a fully licenced 80 seater restaurant and takeaway in Magherafelt!
After graduation I began working in a Sales Manager role for a multinational Trailer manufacturing firm. This role only lasted for 8 months however as I quickly learned that my real interest lay in growing my own businesses.
So I took the leap in early 2019 and opened OH! Digital Marketing with my loyal little client base. Since then the business has thrived getting supercharged during 2020, when the digital age of business became so vitally important.
Don't get me wrong, it hasn't always been plain sailing, mistakes were made and learned from. However the experience I have gained in this period has been invaluable. Working with a diverse range of brands in many different industries, on varying projects, constantly learning and evolving my skills every step of the way.

Outside of marketing
When i'm not working "extremely hard" on a marketing project you'll find me most likely in Notorious Pizza, chatting to customers or holding back or staff by asking them to feature in a very serious TikTok.
Outside of work you'll most likely find me enjoying one of the age old pastimes of watching football, going to the gym, walking the dog, relaxing with a whiskey or planning another trip abroad with my wife Grainne... we like travelling a lot!
